We are the North Chittenango Fire Department. Made up and operated by North Chittenango Fire Company, LLC. Today we stand with 3 Chiefs, 2 Captains, 20 Active Firefighters, The Board of Directors (President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary) and our 30 Social Members.
On a Monthly average we respond to about 32 calls throughout the area. We also assist our neighboring companies: Chittenango, Bridgeport, and Canastota.
We are here to help protect and preserve our community. We are also here to help educate and give back to our community members. Our Mission is
- To acquire, own, and operate fire and emergency equipment of any kind or nature for use by the organization in the protection of persons and property from injury, loss, damage, and destruction by fire.
- To provide suitable quarters for the use of members of the organization in connection with the housing of fire and emergency apparatus, for the providing of a place of meeting for the members of the organization, for the social and recreational use of such members.
- To provide fire and emergency protection to the territory in which the operation of the organization is principally conducted and to the territory adjacent thereto.
- To foster interest in all matters pertaining to the volunteer fire and emergency service and welfare to volunteer firefighters.
- To inoculate love of country, good citizenship, civic virtue, and self-sacrifice, and to perpetuate the spirit which from the earliest days has actuated volunteer firefighters in rendition of service of the highest type of protection of life and property from fire and emergencies without hope of fee or reward.
We do monthly Spaghetti Dinners open to the public. We also offer indoor storage for your vehicles, campers, boats, etc. that need the protection.
